About us
Moors Valley Country Park is a joint venture between East Dorset District Council and the Forestry Commission providing countryside recreation and facilities for people of all ages and abilities to enjoy as well as providing opportunities for people to experience and learn about wildlife and environmental issues. Whether you want to enjoy a peaceful walk or cycle ride through the Forest, experience a ride on an authentic narrow-gauge steam train or even Go Ape on a high wire forest adventure swinging through the tree tops. With an easily accessible location, plenty of parking and seating for up to 140 people, our beautiful 18th Century barn can be hired for evening functions. A fenced area of the lakeside picnic area is also available to hire for your function. Small meeting room is available for hire during the day, which room can seat a maximum of 24 people in theater layout, or 16-20 people boardroom style.
