About us

Hotel Zeppelin San Francisco is where the city’s rebellious spirit meets rock 'n' roll swagger... think vintage vinyl, moody lighting, and a whole lot of attitude. Housed in a pair of historic buildings, one dating back to 1913 as the former Cecil Hotel and the other once home to the San Francisco Press Club, the hotel has a storied past, including a stint as a 1920s speakeasy in its basement. Today, Hotel Zeppelin is a bold, bohemian tribute to the city’s counterculture roots. Its eclectic design fuses mid-century modern flair with psychedelic touches including graffiti art, crushed velvet, and record players in select rooms set the tone. The vibe is playful, not pretentious, with a game lounge called The Den and a lobby bar that nods to its speakeasy history with a ceiling lined with gin bottles. PLS on Post (Peace, Love, Soul) offers up daily hot breakfast and dinner, serving up smash burgers, highball cocktails, local beer and over the top milshakes! Whether you’re here to channel your inner rock star or just want a stay that’s anything but ordinary, Hotel Zeppelin delivers a stylish, spirited experience that’s pure San Francisco. Our flexible event spaces host 5 to 300 guests, offering the perfect backdrop for everything from bold brainstorming sessions to unforgettable celebrations. Menus are curated by PLS on Post, serving up elevated comfort food with a playful twist because every meeting or milestone deserves a little rock 'n' roll edge.

Against all odds, we have opened up our newest restaurant, Serafina, This little gem of a restaurant, perched on top of Nob Hill, has truly been a labor of love, as we were set to open at the end of February, and then had to do so during the ensuing pandemic....We are so excited about Serafina, which has been a concept in the making for many years for us. Serafina was Maurizio’s grandmother, and the name of her eponymous restaurant in the heart of Trastevere (Rome), where Maurizio first began making pizzas at the age of 14. She was a tough woman and wonderful chef.. an inspiration for his love of cooking then, and inspiration of how he is determined to persevere despite the difficult circumstances of today. We hope to create a warm, elegant space where neighbors and friends can come together. We have an amazing team with our partner Giuseppe Terminiello, the co-owner of Piccolo Forno with us (we also own Ideale, in North Beach as well), and Umberto Cannarsa, an accomplished and incredibly talented chef from Rome, who had his own successful restaurants there.
