The Central Market is located on the site where the Plaza de Abastos (wholesale market) was located from 1817 onwards. Almost 50 years later, a fire destroyed those facilities and the Municipality of Santiago ordered the construction of a formal market for the city. The work was inaugurated in 1872 by Mayor Benjamin Vicuña Mackenna. Its metal frame in galvanized iron was cast in England, according to the design by Manuel Aldunate. The Central Market is an outstanding example of metal architecture, many notable examples of which can be found in Chile. On the outside, points of sales for various products give a great boost to a sector frequented by large crowds and featuring a notably popular air. Visitors’ attention is drawn by its corridors lined with food stands, restaurants and premises selling handicrafts, fruits, vegetables, fish and seafood.

The Palace of Fine Arts, originally occupied by the Academy of Fine Arts, is a neoclassical building designed by architect Emilio Jecquier to commemorate the Centennial of the Republic of Chile (1910). In 1969, a fire damaged the mansard roof and dome of the palace. In 1974, the MAC moved to the west wing of the building, an architectural work that was declared a National Monument two years later. During the 1985 earthquake, the building suffered further damage, this time so severe that it remained closed until 1991. Since then, both the building and the museum have resumed operations. In May 2004, President Ricardo Lagos announced state support for the restoration of the heritage building. During the restoration work, between 2004 and 2005, the museum moved to Quinta Normal. Under the "Refoundation" concept, the building was reopened in 2005 with a major expansion of its facilities: structural repairs to the building, restoration of the Belgian dome and the mansard roof, renovation of all plumbing, electrical, and air conditioning systems; fire protection, a vertical circulation system; retrofitting of rainwater collection structures; and installation of a closed-circuit TV system. The project was led by the Metropolitan Regional Directorate of Architects through architect Claudio Navarrete and included a spatial reorganization that allowed for an increase in the building's usable area of more than 3%. The building currently has a total surface area of 7,029 m2.

Thus, in 1935, the first snow lodge was built in Farellones, and in 1948, the first drag lift, the Gran Bajada. In 1941, Farellones began to operate as a mountain town, providing all the necessary services to its visitors. In 1953, the double chairlift was inaugurated, opening the western ski area. The lowest elevation of this ski resort is 2,560 meters above sea level, on the Los Zorros slope, and it reaches an altitude of over 3,300 meters above sea level. It has a vertical drop of 1,090 meters. Currently, it has 112 slopes and a skiable area of 1,100 hectares, making it one of the best ski resorts in South America. The winter resort (ranging from 2,430 to 3,333 meters above sea level) is made up of two interconnected villages, each with hotels and lodges. Valparaíso city

Valpo is Chile's principal port and second-largest city. Despite its size, it is Chile's most distinctive city and one of South America's most intriguing. Occupying a narrow strip of land between the waterfront and the nearby hills, its convoluted centre has distinctive, sinuous cobbled streets, and is overlooked by precipitous cliffs and hilltop suburbs which are accessed by funicular railways and stairway footpaths. It is conducive to maze-like strolls and rides on the funicular, and its natural history, fine arts and maritime museums are justly famed. Muelle Prat, the recently redeveloped pier, is a lively market area. The most interesting part of Valparaiso is the old section, where you will find colonial buildings, churches, and museums, a great place to stay in this area is the Hotel Manoir Atkinson, itself a restored patrimonial home. Also worth seeing is Pablo Neruda's favourite house, a few minutes from town. A Colourful, sunlit mansion overlooking the water, the house is now a museum, a visit to which, can pleasantly occupy an afternoon.

Crossed arms. Poked out bottom lips. Eye rolls. Sighs of displeasure. Mention team building, and you might get these reactions. The thought of another ropes course, forced togetherness or (gasp!) trust falls while keeping your already busy team from their work can create more stress than staying at the workplace. But not with On Purpose Adventures. Your group may need team building (focused on skill development/enhancement) or team bonding (focused on relationship-minded activities) or a combination of both. But whatever the activity, it needs to be facilitated WITH purpose and ON purpose. Most team building programs don’t tie the experience into real-world, job-related application. But ours does. On Purpose delivers team building and bonding with a purpose. Our programs are structured around the way your team operates, and can be tailored to fit your specific challenges and goals. Your team will engage in collaborative activities that build communication, cohesiveness, and enhance skills like collective problem solving, while having fun together. Team building and bonding with On Purpose Adventures brings your team members together in exciting, driven, purposeful activities that make a big impression and generate a genuine team response, keeping them productive and engaged. Skill enhancement happens in a real-life relatable structure, so your takeaways aren’t easily forgotten or lost as soon as the fun ends. Let us help you strengthen your team - on purpose.
