Novotel Sunshine Coast Resort & The Sunshine Coast Convention Centre are centrally located on Queensland's Sunshine Coast, situated on its own surf beach, with the Maroochy River on the adjacent side. The Sunshine Coast is a naturally refreshing, safe and popular destination, thanks to its easy access, local airport and proximity to Brisbane, Australia’s third largest city. The Sunshine Coast Convention Centre is located within the grounds of the Novotel Sunshine Coast Resort at 270 Ocean Drive, Twin Waters, QLD, Australia, 4564. Sunshine Coast Airport (MCY) is only a 5 minute drive from the Sunshine Coast Convention Centre. The airport is serviced by Jetstar, Virgin Australia and Qantas domestically as well Air New Zealand who provide seasonal flight services from Auckland. A range of transport options are available including shuttle buses, hire cars, limousine private transfers & taxis. Brisbane Airport located only a 70 minute drive from the Sunshine Coast Convention Centre is both an international and domestic gateway to Queensland with regular shuttle bus transfers running hourly to the Sunshine Coast. Self Drive is easy with the resort positioned just off the motorway and beachfront, there are an abundance of road signs and clear GPS availability when driving. Complimentary parking is also available at the resort. Public Transport is available with local buses operating throughout the area and connections to train at Nambour station.

The Glass House Mountains are a cluster of thirteen hills that rise abruptly from the coastal plain on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland, Australia. The highest hill is Mount Beerwah at 556 metres above sea level, but the most identifiable of all the hills is Mount Tibrogargan which from certain angles bears a resemblance to a face staring east towards the ocean. The Glass House Mountains are located near Beerburrum State Forest and Steve Irwin Way. They are incredible natural wonders offering a wide variety of bushwalking and historical experiences.

Buderim Falls, also known as Serenity Falls, it’s a wonderful place to visit at any time of year, and looks particularly spectacular after rainfall when the waters cascade down the rock face into the waterhole below. The 600 metre walkway from Lindsay Road will take you on a picturesque forest ramble along the banks of Martins Creek’s cascading waters. This is the easiest part of the walk and is wheelchair friendly. From the end of the boardwalk you can continue upwards through the bush via a rugged trail to the waterfall.

The Big Pineapple is open every day from 9am till 4pm. The Pineapple Train is open every day from 9am-4pm with the last train leaving at 3:30pm, the centre also has a café for light refreshments, along with a souvenir store which stocks a broad range of novelty and retro pineapple themed mementos. There is no entry fee to visit the Big Pineapple but there are fees to ride on the train, visit the zoo and to complete the TreeTop Challenge course. More information including prices is listed below. The exciting next chapter of our renewal is the opening of a new TreeTop Challenge high ropes and zipline course at the Big Pineapple. TreeTop Challenge is one of Queensland’s premier ecotourism operators, as recognised through a gold Queensland tourism award. The Big Pineapple course is set to become their highest and most exciting course, adding to other successful high ropes and zipline courses in the Gold Coast and Scenic Rim. The new course is across eight acres, within the mature trees that backdrop the Big Pineapple structure and original buildings and about 120 activities across the two kilometre course, with a variety of challenges including a 120m zipline. The course will take around half a day to complete. TreeTop Challenge is an example of the type and quality of ecotourism experience to be facilitated at the Big Pineapple.
