Dimitrios Village Beach Resort & Spa is a hotel divided over several buildings, with a familiar atmosphere, an exquisite Greek & Cretan cuisine which is certified by the Greek Tourism Organization and it is surrounded by green. The hotel has been renovated recently and consists of fully equipped studios, apartments and suites. It is situated directly on the quiet beach of Missiria, so it lies 2,5 km away from the touristic village of “Platanes” and 2,5 km from the romantic little town of “Rethymno”. Rethymno is known for its long sandy beaches, its picturesque old town, the venetian harbor with its exquisite fish-taverns and the outstanding fortress “Fortezza”; for its ottoman mosques with the ancient inscriptions, its archaeological, hictorical & folklore museum, its university (school of philosophy, social sciences & education), the venetian fountain “Rimondi” in the center of the old town and of course for its countless traditional taverns with cretan cuisine (which offer mainly biological products – and of also biological local wine and beer) & cafes, its active nightlife with clubs & bars as well as its boutiques and souvenir shops.
