About us
J. D. Young Hotel is a 15th century Coaching Inn, formerly known as the Magpie Hotel. It is situated in the beautiful market town of Harleston, within the Norfolk / Suffolk Border. The whole building has a wonderful air of luxury with walls warmly panelled in oak or papered in rich colours, a wealth of interesting and colourful oil paintings and glowing table lamps, each room is different in decor and atmosphere. There are eleven rooms which consist of Single, Premier Double, Standard Double and Twin occupancy. The larger Premier rooms are also furnished with desk and armchairs. The luxurious dining area has the right ambience for any occasion from birthdays to weddings or simply a night out for fantastic food accompanied by first class service. The main bar area provides the perfect venue for business or pleasure.
