PortMiami is 7.5 miles away and is approx. 13 minute drive from Sonesta Miami Airport. PortMiami is home to eight terminals and dozens of ships representing all of the major cruise lines. It is also the headquarters to many of the world's largest cruise companies.
Guests find it very convenient to take the free shuttle from Miami International Airport and stay overnight at Sonesta Miami Airport. The next day, it is very easy and quick to arrive to PortMiami. Guests also prefer staying at Sonesta Miami Airport when the cruise is over so they have a day to rest prior to flying home from Miami International Airport.
Located in Biscayne Bay, to the east of downtown Miami, the port is made up of three connecting islands and is reachable by the Port Boulevard bridge, which connects the port to the downtown area.
