Villa Erba - centro espositivo e congressuale internazionale - si trova a Cernobbio, sulle rive del Lago di Como, a pochi minuti dal centro di Como. La proprietà, che copre oltre 100.000 mq, era originariamente di proprietà della famiglia del regista Luchino Visconti. La posizione di Villa Erba consente un facile accesso da Milano o dalla città metropolitana e offre ottimi collegamenti sia con le linee ferroviarie internazionali che con le autostrade. Ciò significa un rapido accesso ai principali aeroporti della regione milanese, in particolare Malpensa. Il centro espositivo principale è stato progettato dal famoso architetto Mario Bellini ed è stato costruito nel 1988. L'idea era quella di costruire un moderno centro espositivo, con vista sia sul parco che sul lago, che riflettesse lo stile e la versatilità delle serre del lago. L'edificio espositivo si estende su 11.000 mq ed è composto da un padiglione principale (1048 mq), che può ospitare fino a 1500 partecipanti, e da tre ali separate (circa 2000 mq ciascuna), che possono essere a loro volta suddivise in 200 stand espositivi separati o 28 diverse sale riunioni con una capacità fino a 300 ospiti ciascuna. La struttura comprende anche un'antica villa, maestosa nel suo stile, che può ospitare ricevimenti e cene di gala per 500 ospiti. L'edificio storico, in stile «umbertiniano», si affaccia sul lago e sul parco botanico e le sue terrazze offrono ulteriori aree per eventi. Villa Erba collabora con molti fornitori diversi; ciò significa che può offrire tutti i servizi complementari necessari per i diversi eventi che può ospitare. Attraverso una rete di aziende di cui Villa Erba è il principale promotore e coordinatore, questa struttura può anche offrire in modo unificato, tutti i servizi esterni; dalla sistemazione in albergo (1400 camere a tariffa fissa) alla ristorazione, dai trasferimenti in loco all'accesso di percorsi e iniziative culturali sul territorio; questi servizi integrano le attività svolte da Villa Erba, semplificando così l'organizzazione.

When our grandparents left us, it reinforced as a family that what they taught and shared with us is a huge part of our cultural identity, and we could not risk that heritage disappearing.
