Ralph Knott Room

Named after the architect of County Hall and lined with stunning timber walls, this space is ideal for banquets or conferences. History: A competition was held in 1907 with a brief to design a building suitable to be administrative headquarters of the London County Council of the capital cit of the Empire. 99 designs were submitted of which 15 were selected for the final stage. Ralph Knott, aged 29 was declared the winner. But Ralph Knott never lived to see the completion of his great design. On the 25th January 1929, aged only 50, he died unexpectedly after a short illness.
