Plaza Resort Bonaire applies a clear operational strategy focused on reducing waste generation and improving waste separation. The resort reduces waste at the source by limiting disposable materials and optimizing procurement and usage processes. At the same time, structured waste separation is implemented across the property, with dedicated streams for materials such as glass, paper, and residual waste to support recycling and responsible disposal. Organic waste is managed through local reuse. Food leftovers from the kitchens are provided to local livestock farmers, reducing total waste output and supporting circular resource use on the island.
