About us
The Lion Ballroom in Leominster has been described as the town's "best kept secret". The building dates from the early Victorian period (1843) but this fact is misleading as its character is undoubtedly Georgian, The Lion Ballroom being typical of the grand assembly rooms fashionable during that period. This character, combined with the room's dimensions the main body is 51 feet by 22 feet, with a raised dais or stage at the far end of the room measuring 6 feet by 22 feet give it a lovely sense of intimacy. The seating capacity is 120. There is a fine Steinway 'B' piano in situ and the room has superb acoustics for music. It is, in fact, an ideal venue for all manner of events, including not only concerts but wedding receptions, parties, lectures, corporate meetings, shows, exhibitions and classes.
