The Old No. 77 Hotel & Chandlery is located in the heart of downtown New Orleans in the Warehouse Arts District. The Old No. 77 Hotel & Chandlery is located three blocks from the Historic French Quarter and within walking distance of every major tourist attraction in New Orleans, including the Ernest Morial Convention Center, the Aquarium of the Americas, the River walk, Superdome, Harrah’s Casino, Louisiana’s Children’s Museum, and the historic St. Charles Avenue Streetcar. Prior to the turn of the 20th century when New Orleans renumbered its street addresses, the building’s address was 77 Tchoupitoulas Street. In a nod to this heritage, a reference to the role hotels serve in provisioning modern travelers and a tribute to the neighborhood’s artistic roots, the Old No. 77 Hotel & Chandlery takes its name from this original address. Starting with humble origins in New Orleans’ bustling port district, the Old No. 77 Hotel & Chandlery has undergone a transformation to create the one of the most exciting and best new hotels in New Orleans. All rooms include Black Label Simmons mattresses, work stations with usb plug-in capabilities, complimentary wi-fi, and full-service dining options.

Additional information

The Old No. 77 Hotel & Chandlery has teamed up with two local meeting spaces to host large functions such as weddings, corporate meetings, board meetings, holiday parties and more. The Chicory Sharing historical roots as former coffee warehouses in New Orleans’ Warehouse Arts District, The Chicory event venue is located just a few blocks from The Old No. 77 Hotel & Chandlery. Built in 1852, The Chicory building maintains a sense of nostalgia in its modern day façade, calling on original details such as exposed beams, brick walls, rustic gas lanterns and its original exterior structure. With over 9,000 square feet of event space, The Chicory offers four versatile, elegant rooms to masterfully bring every special occasion to life while celebrating the heritage and beauty of New Orleans. Teamed with The Old No. 77 Hotel & Chandlery, The Chicory and New Orleans’ newest Warehouse Arts District Hotel are pleased to offer assistance with event services and overnight accommodations for group gatherings. Race and Religious Located along the riverfront of the Lower Garden District, just one mile from the Old No. 77 Hotel & Chandlery, Race & Religious offers 6,500 square feet of event space imbued with a raw, original beauty that speaks to the spirit, mystique and history of New Orleans. The Old No. 77 Hotel & Chandlery is proud to work with Race & Religious to provide overnight group accommodations for special events. Unified at the intersection of Race Street and Religious Street, the two-story Creole cottage, built in the 1830′s, and the three story Greek Revival Rowhouse and historical Slave Quarter, later built in the 1840′s, now share one name – Race & Religious - a gathering space and modern day collector of moments. Featuring two commercially-equipped kitchens, indoor and outdoor event space and balconies overlooking the courtyard and pool, Race & Religious remains a relic of New Orleans, with rustic original details preserved throughout the property and antique, purposeful décor whimsically reimaging the historical homes.
