Ernest N. Morial Convention Center

Convention Center
1 mi. away
Events held in New Orleans just aren’t the same as events held in other cities. Smiles are brighter. Handshakes are more energetic. Everyone is simply excited to be in one of the world’s most storied and culturally rich destinations. Traditional, old-time jazz music enlivens the soul, the cuisine is incomparable, and the city’s charm captivates. The freshly renovated New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center is an essential component of what makes the city’s major business events so successful. With 1.1 million square feet of contiguous exhibit space, the Convention Center is the sixth largest convention facility in the nation, and it consistently ranks in the country’s top ten of facilities that hold the most conventions and tradeshows annually. Once the meetings are over, the city’s renowned restaurants and music clubs are a great way for visitors to relax and have some fun. The world-famous attractions of the French Quarter lay just steps away from the convention center, while the historic St. Charles streetcar line runs past the elegant homes of the Garden District. The excitement of New Orleans transforms an obligatory business trip into an unexpected experience.

Bourbon Street

10 minutes away
Bourbon Street is loaded with the best Burlesque Clubs, DJs, bars and endless celebration opportunities. But there is also another side to Bourbon, steeped in history, folklore and beauty that dates back to the early 18th century. In one of the oldest cities in America, Bourbon Street is rich with historic venues, social tales and iconic buildings. The street dates back to 1798, when New Orleans was founded by Jean-Baptiste Le Moyne de Bienville. Also known as “Rue Bourbon,” this monumental street sits at the heart of the French Quarter extending 13 blocks from Canal St. to Esplanade Avenue. With a walk down Bourbon Street you are bound to hear music on every corner that will make you want to dance the night away. But if you’re looking for some good old-fashioned jazz, you’ll find it at Fritzel’s European Jazz Club. Located in an almost 200 year-old building, Fritzel’s hosts live traditional jazz performances on every night of the week! If you’re coming from Ace Hotel, you can take the St. Charles Streetcar that runs right in front of the hotel and get off at Canal Street or just walk the 12 blocks down and you’ll walk right into Bourbon Street. Fun fact! Carondelet turns into Bourbon Street at Canal.

Ace Hotel New Orleans is as unique as the city it calls home. With nuanced interiors which honor the heritage of the city and the bones of the building itself, it is a place for the city’s bastions of culture. It is a gathering place- a place not just in the community, but for the community as well. Like other 4 star properties, we offer our guests the finest in creature comforts, and yet Ace New Orleans sets itself apart by its dedication to place, culture and history. We make our home in a 1920’s art deco furniture store and feature a slew of dining, shopping and entertainment options including a music venue, three top notch dining options, art gallery featuring local artists, retail spaces, a rooftop pool, meeting and event facilities, and several courtyard nooks. New Orleans’ love of food and beverage is celebrated in Josephine Estelle’s Italian fare with a Southern twist, Seaworthy’s Oyster and Cocktail bar, and Alto’s upscale casual grill. Our faithful friends from Stumptown Coffee Roasters serve up a cold brew program with New Orleanians specifically in mind in their first, and largest, store in the South. A lobby perfect for enjoying a coffee or a perfectly crafted cocktail from the custom lobby bar hosts guests and community friends alike gathering, meeting and enjoying sounds from lobby entertainment and Three Keys. In a city where the term cocktail was born, our beverage options continue in our guestrooms with the most extensive mini bar with cocktail recipes and the tools to make them. Teaming with long-time spiritual soul sisters Roman and Williams, our rooms take as inspiration Paris, the 1920s, Art Deco, and gothic light through a modern filter. A love seat for lounging and a work table to rest a drink, custom matelassé cotton coverlet inspired by French pattern work from the 1920s and designed by Atelier Ace. There’s a full-size Smeg refrigerator in all rooms and some rooms have record players, some rooms have Martin guitars. The focus on the comfort of our guest in a celebration of the city is what drives our decisions, and thus some of our rooms feature balconies with skyline views, our armoires don local artwork and the shutters and shades provide blackout capabilities for a good night's sleep. We work back with local practitioners too, offering the services of neighborhood spas as an extension of the hotel. Our 8,600 square feet of "traditional" event spaces are a mix of industrial and vintage with wood and brick flooring, all on ground level featuring top notch sound and tech capabilities. The large prefunction and dedicated event courtyard space are great for networking and receptions or just to catch an outside break. Breaks and receptions are also available in our 2nd floor courtyard and Alto rooftop pool. It is the combination of luxury and culture, the co-mingling of the public and the private, the citizen and the guest that elevate our hotel to the 4-star experience it provides. These are recipes Ace cultivates at each of our properties, a sense of place we see as multi-faceted and wholly particular to each city. The city of New Orleans is a place like none other, and Ace New Orleans is our tribute.
