Blackburn House, Boughton Pumping Station is a stunning Grade II Listed Building situated on the edge of Sherwood Forest with a huge brick chimney which forms a distinctive local landmark that can be seen in the landscape from surrounding villages. Our outstanding Bistro style restaurant can comfortably seat 150 diners and our Sunday Carvery has proven extremely popular with a regular clientele of repeat customers. Our Beautiful Grade II Listed Building is the perfect setting for Civil Ceremonies, Wedding Receptions, Christenings and Parties and we are a popular choice for Conferences and Meetings being able to cater for up to 200 delegates in a choice of different Suites.

The only way to find out about it was via word of mouth. No address was given, the only clue being a sign placed in the window, “Cocktails Here”. A lot of people thought it was pretty cool, even before The New York Times wrote about it. But that was all pre-pandemic, and this is a new era.
