Playa del Carmen, known colloquially as 'Playa', is a resort city located along the Caribbean Sea in the state of Quintana Roo, Mexico. It is part of the municipality of Solidaridad. As of 2020, the city's population was just over 300,000 people during 2020, a small yet thriving portion of which are foreign immigrants.[2] Playa del Carmen is a popular tourist destination in Mexico's Riviera Maya region. Its current growth rate is set at 7.5% per year. According to the Guinness World Records, it is one of Latin America’s fastest growing communities. In 2016, the city was the tenth most popular international travel destination for U.S travelers, and over a million tourists passed through the city a year later.[3][4] The main airport for Playa is the Cancún International Airport, which is around 70 kilometres (43 mi) away. Mexicans refer to the Riviera as "Riviera Maya" while foreigners call it the "Riviera Maya" and is one of the most fascinating destination spots in the world. Tropical beaches, ancient mayan ruins, abundant marine and wildlife abound. As you drive along highway 307 you are usually around a kilometer away from the beach, there are lots of resort entrances. On the shoreline there are numerous privately owned rental cabanas, golf courses, fishing and diving operations and beaches. The most popular travel destination in the Riviera Maya is Playa del Carmen which is where you get the ferry to go to Cozumel. After Playa del Carmen the next town of any great size is Tulum. Along the Riviera Maya you will find several world famous Ecological Theme Parks. These parks are excellent places to spend a day during your vacation, you can drive by yourself or book one of the several tours available. Tours are a great option, they usually pick you up and drop at the door of your hotel either in Cancun or the Riviera Maya. As the Mayan empire stretched over a vast territory that includes parts of Central America and several Mexican states such as Quintana Roo, Yucatan, Campeche and Chiapas. When visiting Playa del Carmen, you may want to know where some of these sites are actually located. Cancellation Policy

CANCELLATION POLICY OF ENTIRE GROUP: In the event that the Client/Group or Groups terminates this Agreement other than as may be expressly permitted herein, the Client/Group shall pay within 30 days of notice of cancellation, in lieu of any other amounts due hereunder or otherwise in respect of this Agreement, liquidated damages determined as follows: • (signature day) days or more, prior to scheduled group arrival date, no liquidated damages will be assessed. • (signature day minus one day)-269 days prior to group arrival date: Complete cancellation will result in a One-night charge per person reserved per group. • 268-180 days prior to group arrival date: Complete cancellation will result in a two-night charge per person reserved per group. • 179-121 days prior to group arrival date: Complete cancellation will result in a three-night charge per person reserved per group. • 120-61 days prior to group arrival date: Complete cancellation will result in a four-night charge per person reserved per group. • 60 days prior to group arrival date: Complete cancellation will result in Total charge for the entire stay per group. Client reserves the right of cancellation without liability if the group cannot meet because of significant physical changes in the hotel caused by new construction or extensive renovation, fire damage or labor strikes. The Hotel shall make its best efforts to sell all canceled rooms but shall not be bound to do so. In the event that the Hotel is able to resell canceled rooms, the Hotel is successful in reselling canceled rooms, no liquidated damages will be assessed for those rooms.
