VITTORIANO E PALAZZO VENEZIA
VITTORIANO E PALAZZO VENEZIA
Museu
The Vittoriano, in full the National Monument to Vittorio Emanuele II, also known as the Altar of the Fatherland, is an architectural work celebrating the Risorgimento and the Unification of Italy. The monument, which is located in Rome in Piazza Venezia, stands out for its size and for its very white color given to it by the Botticino marble. The Vittoriano has a very strong symbolic value: it stands as a symbol of United Italy and Rome Capital, the so-called "Third Rome", in contrast with St. Peter's Basilica, symbol of the Rome of the Popes, and with the Flavian Amphitheater or Colosseum, a representative monument of ancient Rome. It is considered the Altar of the Fatherland because in the center there is an altar with the statue of the Goddess Rome and because, since 1921, it has housed the remains of the Unknown Soldier, a tribute to all the soldiers who gave their lives for the Fatherland.

The Imperial Forums constitute a series of five monumental squares built over the course of a century and a half (between 46 BC and 113 AD) in the heart of the city of Rome by Julius Caesar and the emperors Augustus, Vespasian, Nerva and Trajan. The Forums were the center of the city's political, judicial, commercial and religious activity, and were rectangular spaces and arcades, enriched by temples, basilicas, arches and statues. The set of these archaeological areas constitutes, from an urban point of view, an organic complex, renamed in modern times of the "Imperial Forums", which extends between the Capitoline Hill and the Quirinale.

The Capitoline Museums are the main municipal civic museum structure of Rome, part of the Museum System of Rome Capital, with an exhibition area of 12,977 m². Opened to the public in 1734, under Pope Clement XII, they are considered the first public museum in the world, intended as a place where art could be enjoyed by everyone and not just by the owners. We speak of "museums", in the plural, because in the eighteenth century the Capitoline Art Gallery was added to the original collection of ancient sculptures by Pope Benedict XIV, consisting of works illustrating mainly Roman subjects.

The Colosseum, originally called the Flavian Amphitheater, is a Roman amphitheater built on the architectural models of the imperial age. Built during the first century during the reign of Vespasian (9-79 AD), today the Colosseum is considered the largest amphitheater in the world. Used in ancient times for pagan shows, a symbol of imperial splendour, the Colosseum has gone through numerous vicissitudes that have made it a famous symbol of Roman and Latin civilization. In 1980 it was defined as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Piazza Navona is one of the symbolic places of the capital, certainly among the most beautiful and well-known squares in Rome. The square is located on the ancient stadium of Domitian, built in 86 AD to host sports competitions and musical performances. The arena was of considerable size, at least 270 meters long and 55 meters wide, so much so that it was able to hold at least 33 thousand people. After being restored first by Emperor Alexander Severus and then by Pope Innocent X, it was used until the 800s to host celebrations, masses, but also shows, coffins and even naval battles. Today it is often used as a magnificent location for traditional markets, especially at Christmas time.

The Trevi Fountain is one of the largest and most impressive fountains in Rome, it was built between 1732 and 1762 and is located in Piazza di Trevi in Rome. The main theme of the decorations and statues of the monument is the sea. The fountain is the exhibition of the Acqua Vergine, the aqueduct that Marcus Vipsanius Agrippa brought to Rome in 19 BC to supply the baths. Legend has it that whoever throws a coin into the fountain and, turning around immediately afterwards, manages to see the coin disappearing into the water, guarantees a return to Rome

The Pantheon is a Roman temple dedicated to all the gods, which attracts visitors from all over the world for the magnificence of its proportions, the majesty of the dome and the architectural peculiarity, as well as for the hidden mysteries of its history. The Pantheon in Rome was built in the Campus Martius, the place where, according to tradition, Romulus, the founder of Rome, ascended to heaven. The area was therefore a sacred area and every year the death of the founder of Rome was commemorated there. Today it is almost intact after almost two millennia.

Strazzanti Sicily Experiences
Strazzanti Sicily Experiences
Scicli
Strazzanti was created by the 3 Strazzanti sisters with our youngest sister & professional Chef Emilia leading the experiences directly in Sicily. We continue the story and memories of our grandparents who taught us everything about our Sicilian and Neapolitan heritage. Growing up we understood our Italian heritage through them as people, their stories and by sharing, eating and cooking the dishes that they grew up with from their homeland and using the ingredients that our relatives would send to us in England from Sicily & Naples in small parcels. When our grandparents left us, it reinforced as a family that what they taught and shared with us is a huge part of our cultural identity, and we could not risk that heritage disappearing. Together as a family and working with other Sicilian families our passion is to give back to the land and work with like-minded young entrepreneurs, landowners and farmers in Sicily to keep this heritage and Sicilian traditions, which we all lovingly grew up with, alive.
