Verdura Resort, a Rocco Forte Hotel is situated on the south-west coast of Sicily. Set in a valley of olive groves, the luxury resort is 30km from the ancient town of Agrigento, whose archaeological park "Valley of the Temples" is featured within prestigious UNESCO World Heritage List. It features a hotel with 203 rooms and 20 private villas with 3 and 4 bedrooms each (for a total of 63 bedrooms). A short drive away is the picturesque fishing port of Sciacca. You can explore its medieval alleys and baroque churches, find a seafood restaurant for lunch, then relax on one of its many sandy beaches. The structure, named in memory of Giovanni Falcone and Paolo Borsellino, has two asphalt runways 3,326 meters long and 2,068 m. Julie is a BCIT graduate and has been an active player in the hospitality industry since she was twenty-two. In 1981, Julie founded Everything Done Right Catering, a high-end catering business. During that time, Julie developed a line of dressings and sauces sold to large retail store chains in Canada and Mexico.
In 1989, Julie was a recipient of the 40 Under 40 award. In 2006, Julie was inducted into the BC Chapter of Les Dames d’Escoffier. An invitational organization of women leaders in food and beverage whose mission is further education, scholarship, and philanthropy.
