The Santa Maria della Scala is one of the oldest European hospitals built along the “Via Francigena” to accommodate pilgrims on their way to Rome. Interesting from an historical point of view as well as from the monumental value are the fortified hamlets; among those Fattoria Il Santo is without any doubt the most famous - probably restored by Giuliano da San Gallo. The estate of the Fattoria Il Santo is the perfect scenario for your wedding, events and other functions. We have a meeting facility that can accommodate up to 100 people and that can be booked for organizing such functions. We provide the best facilities for successful events.

Strazzanti was created by the 3 Strazzanti sisters with our youngest sister & professional Chef Emilia leading the experiences directly in Sicily. We continue the story and memories of our grandparents who taught us everything about our Sicilian and Neapolitan heritage. Growing up we understood our Italian heritage through them as people, their stories and by sharing, eating and cooking the dishes that they grew up with from their homeland and using the ingredients that our relatives would send to us in England from Sicily & Naples in small parcels. When our grandparents left us, it reinforced as a family that what they taught and shared with us is a huge part of our cultural identity, and we could not risk that heritage disappearing. Together as a family and working with other Sicilian families our passion is to give back to the land and work with like-minded young entrepreneurs, landowners and farmers in Sicily to keep this heritage and Sicilian traditions, which we all lovingly grew up with, alive.
