Rich in history and architecturally splendid, the Queen Victoria Building (QVB) occupies an entire block on Sydney’s George Street, and has over 180 of Sydney's finest fashion boutiques, jewellery shops and homewares, accompanied by delightful cafes and restaurants. The grand building, built in the 1890s was erected as a Municipal Market on the scale of a Cathedral. The QVB was beautifully restored and re-opened in 1986, and quickly became Sydney’s most popular and prestigious shopping centre. The dominant feature is the mighty centre dome, which during the Christmas period is occupied by a giant Christmas tree, a must see for any visitor. Glorious stained glass windows and splendid architecture endure throughout the building and an original 19th century staircase sits alongside the dome.

Designed by one of Sydney’s best-known architects, Richard Johnson of Denton Corker Marshall, this modern museum sits on one of Australia's most important sites. Here Australia’s first Government House was built in 1788 as a home and office for the colony’s Governor, Arthur Phillip. The museum forecourt, known as First Government House Place, preserves the remaining foundations of the house below, while aboveground the extraordinary art installation Edge of the Trees marks the site of first contact between the British colonisers and the Gadigal people. The site of First Government House is on the National Heritage List.At the Museum of Sydney you will meet our city’s first people, inspect models of the First Fleet ships and peer at the archaeological remains of first Government House and the intriguing objects uncovered by a number of digs on the site. Fast forward through 200 years and you will learn about the distinctiveness of this great city, its harbour, transport, people and particular personality via a changing exhibitions program. The Museum of Sydney explores colonial and contemporary Sydney through objects, pictures and new digital media techniques. Panoramic views of Sydney - from 1788 until today - stretch across walls and video screens. Sydney's convict era is explored in a giant showcase of goods and chattels recovered from more than 25 archaeological digs.

How many corporate offices have a dedicated event planner? Not many. How many corporate employees get thrown the task of event planning without having any experience? Too many. When Lee Rubin, our Co-Founder and CEO, was randomly tasked with planning her team’s event, she asked herself, “Is there an easier way to create meaningful events that are simple to plan—especially for remote teams?” Zoom forward, she and Eyal Hakim (Co-Founder & CTO) had an answer. Together, they built Confetti: a platform for virtual team building experiences designed specifically for remote and hybrid companies. The two saw eye-to-eye on their goal to give people who don’t want to waste hours planning corporate events a quick, painless way to organize complex virtual experiences – ones that genuinely bring distributed teams closer and improve work culture. They believe that if team members can get along better, they can produce great work. And if they produce great work, together they can build a great company. And if companies were more successful, it would leave this world a better place.
