Client Testimonials Find out what our clients are saying about planning and holding an event at Novotel Sydney on Darling Harbour TESTIMONIALS: Novotel Sydney on Darling Harbour is one of the best corporate event venues in Sydney. The location is central to everything you may need and the event staff are second to none. We have been holding events there for over six years and, you don’t keep coming back for no reason – they are accommodating, professional and only too happy to make changes as needed. Whether it’s been a small strategy planning session or a major end of year conference, they’re delivered every time. I would certainly recommend Novotel on Darling Harbour to any corporate event organiser. LYN SHIELDS, GENERAL MANAGER, MARKETING – A S HARRISON & CO | AUGUST 2019 _________________________________________________________________________________________ Thank you so much for the lovely meal last night, it was totally unexpected but the food and wine were absolutely delicious. You have a great team of chefs and waiting staff who provided a knowledgeable and wonderful dining experience. As I briefly mentioned to you, overall our meeting went very well indeed and the client was so happy with the end result. Your hotel was an unknown quantity for all of us, but from the first steps from Venue Sourcing and Contracting with Andrew, to working with Simon, Lillian and Anthea from Encore it has been a seamless process. I would like to thank you and please ensure you pass on to the banqueting team working on our event what a pleasure it was to work with them. I look forward to recommending and working here again soon. Australian National Maritime Museum

Museum
5 minutes away
The Australian National Maritime Museum (ANMM) is a federally operated maritime museum in Darling Harbour, Sydney. After considering the idea of establishing a maritime museum, the federal government announced that a national maritime museum would be constructed at Darling Harbour, tied into the New South Wales State government's redevelopment of the area for the Australian bicentenary. The museum building was designed by Philip Cox, and although an opening date of 1988 was initially set, construction delays, cost overruns, and disagreements between the state and federal governments over funding responsibility pushed the opening back to 1991.

Power House Museum

The Powerhouse Museum is the major branch of the Museum of Applied Arts & Sciences in Sydney, the other being the historic Sydney Observatory. Although often described as a science museum, the Powerhouse has a diverse collection encompassing all sorts of technology including decorative arts, science, communication, transport, costume, furniture, media, computer technology, space technology and steam engines. It has existed in various guises for over 125 years, and is home to some 400,000 artifacts, many of which are displayed or housed at the site it has occupied since 1988, and for which it is named — a converted electric tram power station in the Inner West suburb of Ultimo, originally constructed in 1902. It is well known, and a popular Sydney tourist destination.

Sydney Opera House

Historical landmark
3 km away
The Sydney Opera House is a multi-venue performing arts centre in Sydney, Australia, identified as one of the 20th century's most distinctive buildings. Designed by Danish architect Jørn Utzon, the building was formally opened on 20 October 1973 after a gestation beginning with Utzon's 1957 selection as winner of an international design competition. The government of New South Wales, led by the premier, Joseph Cahill, authorised work to begin in 1958 with Utzon directing construction. The government's decision to build Utzon's design is often overshadowed by circumstances that followed, including cost and scheduling overruns as well as the architect's ultimate resignation. The building and its surrounds occupy the whole of Bennelong Point in Sydney Harbour, between Sydney Cove and Farm Cove, adjacent to the Sydney central business district and the Royal Botanic Gardens, and close by the Sydney Harbour Bridge.

The Sydney Harbour Bridge is a steel through arch bridge across Sydney Harbour that carries rail, vehicular, bicycle, and pedestrian traffic between the Sydney central business district (CBD) and the North Shore. The dramatic view of the bridge, the harbour, and the nearby Sydney Opera House is an iconic image of Sydney, and Australia.
