North Lake Tahoe Convention & Visitors Bureau

Opt Outside in North Lake Tahoe

Drawing on in-depth local knowledge and years of experience, the North Lake Tahoe Convention & Visitors Bureau saves you time and money with professional services – free of charge. The selection of indoor and outdoor venues, alone, covers 30 sites and 200,000-plus square feet, from boardrooms to ballrooms, lakeside to mountainside. The lodging options and rates are just as diverse – 7,000 rooms at full-service resorts, hotels, motels, condominiums and bed and breakfasts, with retreat-like to town-center locations. Our CVB staff will help you narrow down the wide range of options in our 11 resorts and towns, all within approximately 20 miles of one another. We can be your one convenient contact, gathering proposals from the appropriate properties and suppliers and getting them to you within 48 hours. We’ll also arrange site inspections with complimentary transportation and lodging. Once you’ve identified your preferences, we’ll assist with securing the best pricing. If team-building is one of your meeting goals, we can help tailor activities to your group’s interests: navigating two ropes courses, rafting the Truckee River, playing over a dozen golf courses, skiing/snowboarding at 15 downhill resorts… We can also assist with attractive group rates for paddlewheeler cruises, fishing charters, kayaking, trail rides on horseback or mountain bike, ice-skating, guided snowmobile tours… Most of these activities could fill the free space in your group’s agenda, too. Our friendly staff can also give you a local’s insight on the best beaches, spas, shops, museums and galleries. We’re a good resource for nightlife suggestions as well, like live music, dancing and casino action. In our fresh mountain air, an active group is a hungry group. North Lake Tahoe’s nearly 120 eateries bring variety to the table, with rave reviews. A CVB staff member can be at your group’s location to offer menu information, organize a “dine-around” or make multi-restaurant reservations. As your event gets closer, look to us for materials to promote attendance, from colorful conference and travel planners (shipped to you for free), to maps showing points of interest, to digital images and copy points for your own materials. Between planning and closing celebrations, the North Lake Tahoe Convention & Visitors Bureau is also happy to help with transportation arrangements and registration.
