The restaurant’s changing menu focuses on local, sustainable, seasonal produce that does not use pesticides, synthetic fertilizers, insecticides, or GMOs. Meat, fish, and dairy are locally sourced where possible, from humanely treated, pasture-fed animals free of antibiotics and hormones. A rooftop garden provides herbs and microgreens. Teas, coffees, spices, wines, juices, and elixirs are organically cultivated on fair-trade cooperatives. The dining room includes found, salvaged, reclaimed, and recycled building materials. The Brooklyn Comedy Collective is a comedy theater and school in Brooklyn with a mission to produce irreverent, fearless shows from a wide range of voices and inspire students to approach performance from a place of joy and fierceness. From year-round comedy classes to workshops for businesses large and small to improv festivals and live comedy produced Tues-Sundays nights in East Williamsburg, we celebrate anyone who wants to let their freak flag fly. If we are taking guests on a Brooklyn tour, we typically meet them at the Whole Foods upstairs cafe located at 4 Union Square (Manhattan, at 14th Street). At both pre-experience meeting locations you’ll find a cafe and bathroom, which are both convenient before your marathon secondhand shopping day! For larger groups and corporate events, we organize meetings at a private location also conveniently located near midtown and subway access. That address is determined before the tour and space rental is included in booking fees.
