Yes, Dharana at Shillim has a well-defined strategy focused on eliminating, reducing, and responsibly diverting waste, aligning with its sustainability and wellness philosophy. At Dharana at Shillim, waste management is integral to our sustainability strategy. We follow a holistic approach, emphasising waste elimination at the source, followed by responsible segregation, recycling, and composting. Single-use plastics have been significantly reduced across operations, replaced by sustainable alternatives. Organic waste from our kitchens and gardens is composted and reused in our on-site organic farms, creating a closed-loop system. Paper and cardboard are recycled through certified vendors, and all waste streams are carefully monitored to ensure minimal environmental impact. Through these efforts, we aim not only to reduce landfill contribution but also to inspire a culture of conscious consumption among guests and staff.
