About us

Hotel Palazzo Barbarigo overlooking the Grand Canal is an exclusive charming house associated with the Design Hotels network; it rises in a wonderful location, next door to the famous Palazzo Pisani-Moretta, also close to the Ponte di Rialto and just a 20 minutes stroll from Piazza San Marco. Palazzo Barbarigo is a truly plush and super-comfy boutique hotel, and one of the best I’ve ever stayed in. It’s gorgeously located right on the Grand Canal, a 10-15 walk from Rialto bridge, and past. The hotel is beautiful and the amenities great. When you arrive to venice you should take a water taxi to the front of the hotel because the rear entrance will be impossible to find the first time. Palazzo Barbarigo is the perfect place for private dinners or special occasions such as exclusive parties and cocktails. Many fashion houses choosed this gorgeous maison d'hotes for the organization of business events and showcases. Palazzo Barbarigo, with its 18 luxury rooms, can also be the most suitable location for celebrating weddings, anniversaries or commemorations in general.

Strazzanti was created by the 3 Strazzanti sisters with our youngest sister & professional Chef Emilia leading the experiences directly in Sicily. We continue the story and memories of our grandparents who taught us everything about our Sicilian and Neapolitan heritage. Growing up we understood our Italian heritage through them as people, their stories and by sharing, eating and cooking the dishes that they grew up with from their homeland and using the ingredients that our relatives would send to us in England from Sicily & Naples in small parcels. When our grandparents left us, it reinforced as a family that what they taught and shared with us is a huge part of our cultural identity, and we could not risk that heritage disappearing. Together as a family and working with other Sicilian families our passion is to give back to the land and work with like-minded young entrepreneurs, landowners and farmers in Sicily to keep this heritage and Sicilian traditions, which we all lovingly grew up with, alive.
