About us

Madinat Al Bahr is located in Zanzibar, Tanzania. Madinat al Bahr a “city on the sea” is a unique and only palatial hotel hugging the azure waters of the Indian Ocean and enhanced by a white sandy beach on the best of the Zanzibar’s coast. Purpose designed and built, the state of the art resort hotel exudes the grandeur of an Ottoman palace combining the rich culture, colours and warmth of an African heritage wrapped in captivating modernity. We offer three spacious and ornately decorated restaurants for fine dining. All three food outlets overlook the azure beauty of the Indian Ocean during the day and twinkles of the bobbling lanterns on the fishermen canoes at night. The hotel offers 4 no’s of most modern and air conditioned conference and meeting halls of various sizes with the state of the art amenities to include richly furnished VIP suites adjoining immaculate sea, pool and garden facing multipurpose venues for tea breaks and caterings.
