Welcome from Dr. Barbara Remondini

It is with pleasure that I introduce myself to Montana. I serve as the Vice President of the AdvancED Mountain Region and look forward to getting to know Montana schools and systems. Dr. Daniel Sybrant will continue to serve as Director for the AdvancED Montana Operations Office.
 
I have more than 25 years of education experience that includes serving as a teacher, assistant principal, principal, assistant superintendent, adjunct faculty member and four years with AdvancED. 

As Vice President for the Mountain Region, I will assist with providing additional support to institutions throughout the region.  This new structure provides more and varied types of support for each of the states in the Mountain Region. In addition to my assistance, Montana schools and systems will reap the benefits of the talents of the following people:

• Dr. Susanna Murphy – Dr. Murphy has more than 35 years of education experience that includes school and system leadership, as well as higher education. Dr. Murphy served New Mexico as the Deputy State Superintendent, Secretary of Education Designate and most recently as the AdvancED Director. Susanna now serves as the AdvancED Mountain Region Engagement Specialist. Her skills and expertise in continuous improvement will benefit all schools and systems. • Dr. Daniel Sybrant – Dr. Sybrant has been an educator for more than 36 years. His experience includes serving as a teacher, principal, superintendent and in higher education. He has been the Director for AdvancED Montana since 2009, and he most recently served as the Director for AdvancED South Dakota and AdvancED Iowa as well. He now is available to assist other Operations Offices in the region. Dr. Sybrant can be reached via email.
• Ms. Bethany Washburn – Ms. Washburn has worked for AdvancED for eight years in various capacities, including Accreditation Specialist for Public School Systems. She is currently the Senior Coordinator for the AdvancED Mountain Region and will provide logistical support for all aspects of the accreditation and continuous improvement processes.
