(WSJ) Brazil’s Stratus Group recently acquired majority stakes in Farma Participações—the owner of pharmacy chain Poupafarma—and packaged-food company Alnutri Alimentos for a total of about R$200m (US$54.6m). Poupafarma and Alnutri became the first operational companies of two platforms—Investfarma and DGH Participações, also called DGH Foods, respectively—Stratus created to expand each business.
