Please join us for further learning, sharing and reflecting by registering for Deeper Dialogue: Teaching with Poverty in Mind. Participants will have an opportunity to discuss Eric Jensen’s Teaching with Poverty in Mind in depth, gain an understanding of the most current research related to poverty, create a personal learning network, and discover new resources. The goal of each chapter dialogue is to connect the content of the book with real, transferrable action within each district, school and classroom.
As a participant in this deeper dialogue, you will have access to resources and summaries of the chapter. You also will have a set of facilitated discussion questions around the topics addressed in each chapter of Teaching with Poverty in Mind. Participants can select to engage in one or more chapters, with the ability to earn three State Continuing Education Clock Hours (SCECHs) per chapter.
The expertise from the Michigan Department of Education, Michigan School Improvement Facilitators Network, Michigan Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development (ASCD), the General Education Leadership Network, and Michigan Virtual University are happy to partner together in this effort. Ultimately, we hope to engage in meaningful learning and reflection across the state.
