businesses and society. In the

Unleashing Potential: Embracing
Models of Disability Employment
in Your Business
A
diverse and inclusive workforce
is the bedrock of every
successful business. In pursuit
of our ongoing mission to
promote the integration of
persons with disabilities (PwDs)
into our society, we are
delighted to present various
inclusive employment models that
can benefit your business and
create a positive impact on the
community.
1.
Open Employment:
SPD’s team of professionals,
from the Employment Support
Programme (ESP), support
employers in the recruitment of
PwDs and provide at least 6
months of job support to help
new hires adapt to their roles
and the workplace.
2.
Supported Employment:
Through the Intensive Supported
Employment Programme (ISEP),
PwDs with potential and
motivation to secure open
employment but who require
additional vocational training
are placed in a supported work
environment. The trainees start
with a work trial, progress to
on-the-job training with onsite
support from SPD's supervisors,
before being placed in open
employment.
3.
Outsourced Contract Work:
The
SPD Sheltered Workshop offers
vocational training in a
simulated work environment to
enhance the employability of
trainees with disabilities. The
Workshop constantly seeks
contract work in product
packaging, document digitization
and the like, to provide
trainees with opportunities for
vocational training.
