| PRESIDENTS REPORT
To paraphrase a line from a popular television drama "Winter is coming", but that definitely does not stop Melbourne being the events capital of Australia, we just move indoors! A bumper start to the year has been experienced by our membership with Melbourne coming alive this Summer and we all want to continue the momentum with our first, in what we hope to be an amazing series of talks; 'Meet the Masters', to be held at the Sofitel Melbourne on Collins on Wednesday June 3rd.
ISES Melbourne Chapter in conjunction with our event sponsors Audio Visual Dynamics, brings two of the event industry's 'Masters' to Melbourne for one night only. David Grant, who is widely acclaimed as one of Australia's leading event producers has entertained the rich and famous at public and private parties from Sydney to New York with a client list and an ability to keep 'fresh' and 'happening' that is the envy of the world over. Joining him on stage is Andrew Walsh. Andrew is an industry leader with a list of events that would make your head spin, from Olympics and Commonwealth Games through to the event that shuts down Melbourne for one night, White Night! We hope you will join us in this first celebration of the Masters of our Industry.
In the coming weeks the ISES Melbourne Chapter will announce a new direction and change in the operation of the Chapter that will return even greater value to you the membership and an increased emphasis on outstanding event in the educational and social arenas. We are always looking for members to join us on committees and if you would like to be a part of ISES, do think about joining us in a more formal way.
