Dear Members and Friends
Your
team at Raffles Quay is very
much looking forward to the Year
of the Dragon which will begin
on 10 February. The 15 day Lunar
New Year festival, like so many
others celebrated in our
country, is all about reunions
with our loved ones, our friends
and our business contacts. It is
also a time when many people
express their new year mood of
optimism for the future, and
appreciation for what they have,
by kindnesses to the wider
community. For example, many
people give ang pows to the
security guards who look after
their homes, to the cleaners who
keep common areas clean and who
also empty the rubbish chutes,
to the people who pump petrol
for us at petrol stations and to
the friendly supermarket staff
who help them throughout the
year. Good fortune is made
better and more meaningful when
it is shared.
The
Lunar New Year festival
celebrates the importance of
relationships not touch and go
transactions within families,
businesses and communities. The
festival is an opportunity to
catch up, reconnect and
celebrate the fact we all need
each other to succeed. Let’s all
redouble our efforts in the
coming year to collaborate more
intentionally and selflessly for
the good of the people we aim to
help.
The
Chamber team wishes you, your
family, business and colleagues
a happy, healthy and prosperous
Year of the Dragon!
GONG XI FA CAI!
BU BU GAO SHENG!
Yours faithfully
