This an intermediate/advance level workshop that presents a collaborative strengths-based family therapy approach that combines the best elements of empirically supported individual and family therapy models with clinical evidence-based practice wisdom about what works with adolescents presenting with severe behavioral and emotional difficulties. Farquhar, PhD., CPsych. Participants of this workshop will learn the principle protocol of CBT for eating disorders, and how to identify and differentiate the clinical presentation of specific diagnoses. Core psychopathology will be discussed along with CBT theory. Fundamentals of Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy (FPP)

Description: This course is offered by TPS&I to mental health professionals interested in learning about the ideas and theories of psychoanalytic therapy. It combines teaching of basic concepts of psychoanalytic psychotherapy with presentation of clinical cases and explanations of therapy techniques.
