Dear Members and Friends
We
hope you all had an enjoyable
long weekend and, for those of
you who celebrate, a blessed and
happy Easter.
We have rebranded and relaunched
our member-exclusive
Entrepreneurs Singapore Interest
Group (ESIG). It is now under
new management so to speak. Our
new co-chair is none other than
Wong Joo Seng, Executive
Director and Chief Executive
Officer, Spark Systems Pte Ltd.
Joo is not only a very
successful, serial entrepreneur
he is also a venture capitalist
and Deputy Chairman of the
Chamber. He joins his fellow
co-chair and SICC Board Director
Abel Ariza, President, Malaysia
and Singapore, Sodexo Singapore
Pte Ltd. Their combined
leadership will be both
effective and transformational.
We believe entrepreneurship
should be inclusive. For
instance, you could be making a
mid or late career shift or
someone with a bright idea or
business straight out of college
or university.
ESIG aims to be enabling by
facilitating connections and
providing resources for members
to learn, scale up and increase
success in their entrepreneurial
ambitions and journeys.
The first initiative by the
relaunched ESIG is a knowledge
sharing session on
entrepreneurship journeys and
risk management fittingly called
“Basics of a Startup” which will
be held on
5 April 2024, 3.00pm – 4.30pm
at the Chamber’s Members’
Room. We encourage all existing
and aspiring entrepreneurs to
attend and participate for
mutual benefit and impact.
