Greetings:

Northern Training Days here we come!   Faith has done a wonderful job setting up the location and getting the classes lined up for our clerks that plan on attending May 12th-13th in Minocqua.   I’m sure we will have a successful gathering of both new and seasoned clerks and it is my hope that the Board of Directors will consider hosting another training session similar to this one again next year.

Please watch your email for a district meeting coming to your area soon.  I would like to send out a big thank you to our District Directors for setting up these meetings.    Many of us require the Board of Review Training and look forward to visiting with fellow clerks.   I have received many invitations, and look forward to attending as many as possible.

No more late nights and week-ends especially with one more big election behind us.  We can now look forward to catching up on other business that was put on the back burner.

Stay healthy, get outside and walk in this beautiful sunshine and smell the flowers.  Spring goes by far too fast.

Join a 2016-17 WMCA Committee

Committees are the backbone of our association, and they aren’t able to function without members willing to step up and serve.  If you’re looking for a way to give back to WMCA, to meet some new people or even earn some more points for your certification:  serving on a committee is a great way to accomplish all three.

Some Committees meet in person, while others are able to meet solely on the phone…and others a mix of both.  Below are the openings I have for Committees from August 2016 – August 2017:

  • Mentoring
  • New Clerk’s Class
  • PEC (3 openings)
  • Promotions (4 openings)

If you’d like more info on a committee, please contact the Chair of that Committee and they will be happy to fill you in on what they do.  You can also check out the WMCA website and read the description of each committee to help you make your choice.  Remember, some committees are able to do all their business over the phone or via email, while others must meet in person.  The right committee is out there waiting for you to find it!

Once you decide which committee you’d like to serve on, send me an email at bootleg711@hotmail.com and I will get you on there for next year.  I look forward to having full committees for this upcoming year, and am so excited to be working with each of you during my Presidential year (It’s still crazy to even type that!).  I hope everyone is having a great spring so far, and had a GREAT Election.  Baseball’s Back!  GO YANKEES!
