MEMBERCONNECT

Dear Members and Friends,

Current conditions force us to reset many of our plans and maybe that is not altogether a bad thing. It is useful to take time to take stock; to re-evaluate what we want, why we want it and how we can achieve our goals.

Part of the reset I see is more and more companies are moving away from purely focusing on shareholder value. Don’t get me wrong. Businesses must be profitable to be sustainable. It is encouraging to see more and more companies focusing on doing good for society as part of their purpose.

Can purpose and profit coexist in a company's strategy? I think the answer must be yes. I encourage you to think about purpose, learn from thought leaders, understand their perspectives and what they mean to you and your business. Better still, participate in conversations that aim to help you be better prepared for the next virus or unforeseen challenge.

Have a purposeful week ahead.

Yours faithfully
Victor Mills
Chief Executive
