Welcome to the June edition of your alumni e-newsletter, featuring news and stories about your fellow alumni, as well as the regular program of events, activities and resources available to our global community.
In this edition, we’re proud to announce our academic group Outstanding Alumni Award winners, who will now proceed as finalists for the overall University awards in September.
We also celebrate the achievements of alumni named in the 2022 Queen’s Birthday Honours List and Dr Maria Antonio, who was awarded the Philippines Australian Alumnus of the Year 2022 at the Australian Alumni Excellence Awards.
We have news of Griffith’s Brett Dean opening his visionary operatic interpretation of Hamlet at the Met in New York and Professor Paulo de Souza—head of our exciting new space research program—running 100 miles for students in need.
Truly something for everyone, happy reading!
