Meeting for Good - sustainable reasons to meet
Sustainability across the meeting experience:

Groups & Events:
 Plastic-free Water service - We only use glass bottles.
 Removing single-use items such as notepads, pens, coasters and flipcharts to reduce waste (Items available upon request only)
 Magnetic and Rewritable walls, to avoid the use of flipchart paper and other single-use items
 We offer Britta-filtered potable water (sparkling or natural).

In General:
 Conversion to LED lights (90% off all lights are LED).
 Hotel provides two Charging stations for E-Cars.
 Hotel implemented a waste separation and recycling Program.
 Guests find a water dispenser and glasses in the lobby.
 Digital Collateral and event brochures are used to eliminate the need for printed material.
 Guests receive get-and-drop umbrellas when it rains.
 Motion light sensors are installed in the public and sanitary areas.
 Reduced HVAC (Heating, Ventilation and Air-Conditioning) and Lightning policy to conserve energy

Food & Beverage:
 We offer vegan plates and meals.
 Hotel avoids one-way-packaging on breakfast buffet, e.g. for jam and spreads.
 A Food Waste Reduction Action Plan is implemented by cooking according to the guest number.
 Reusable Serviceware, like plates and glassware to eliminate the need for single use disposals
 Recyclable lunch boxes

Rooms:
 A Linen & Towel Reuse Program for overnight meeting attendees is installed.
 Guests can decide if they need daily housekeeping (they receive Rewards-Club-Points in exchange)
 Toiletries, e.g. Shampoo, Shower gel, are offered in bulk dispensers.

Hotel:
 Fitness Initiative for employees – team members take part in Alster run
 Inclusion – Hotel employs staff members with both physical and mental limitations, e.g. a deaf and dumb colleague in the Pâtisserie.
 The General Manager, the HR Manager, the Chef, the F&B Manager and his assistant take part in a course of sign language to be able to communicate with the deaf and dumb colleague.
 Hotel supports the 4th Hamburg woman’s ‘shelter by charity actions (x-mas baking for kids and the donation of the staff Christmas celebration raffle).
