Smith Day - November 2.  Smith Terps around the world will come together on Wednesday, November 2 to recognize our unstoppable pride in being members of the Maryland Smith community. Here’s how you can celebrate the day:

1. Wear your Smith gear (or Maryland colors) - a lapel pin or a scarf count too! 
2. On Campus - For Smith alumni working on campus (whether in Smith or not), stop by Van Munching Hall between 10 am - 2 pm for food, activities, a photo booth, give-a-ways, and of course, the special Smith Day ice cream flavor - Smithberry Graham Munching. Ice cream starts at 11 am.
3. Regionally - Share your Smith pride with other Smith Terps at one of the regional events in Boston, Charlotte, Houston, Laurel (MD), or Washington DC. Register your attendance Today! *Note: The DC location is on Tuesday, November 1.
4. At Work - If you work with other Smith Alumni at your employer, gather together for an informal meet-up (in-person or virtual), snap a group photo showing your school pride and submit it to smithalumni@umd.edu to be entered into a raffle drawing!
5. Online - Share your Smith pride online using #MarylandSmithDay on social media. Take a photo and share it using the hashtag or update your Facebook/LinkedIn profile with a Smith Day frame.

NFT and web3. Join the Smith and UMD communities on Wednesday, November 9 at Van Munching Hall for an evening discussion on NFTs and web3 featuring Smith grad, Robert (Bobby) Leach ‘04, Head of Product at MintEd. The evening will include food, drink and networking. As a special bonus, attend the event for the chance to receive up to two FREE specially made NFTs with custom art created specifically for this event by Terp artists. No crypto is currently required.

Join the Dingman Center for its first annual Elevate! Diverse Founders Dinner on Tuesday, November 15 from 6-8pm to celebrate the entrepreneurial journeys of underrepresented entrepreneurs. To be eligible for the 2022-2023 award, nominees must be received by December 9, 2022.
