We have received a lot of questions lately about whether or not HT will be having conferences this summer. Your concerns are completely understandable considering what’s been going on in the world! Don’t worry, you’re gonna get a conference! Conferences this summer will not be cancelled…they may be virtual, or a combination of virtual and in-person. But there will be a Watermarked 2020 conference for you no matter what changes COVID-19 throws at us!
All of Higher Things’ staff has been putting in long hours, coming up with plans, back-up plans, and back-up plans to the back-up plans to bring you a Watermarked 2020 conference! We know people are desperate to go back to church and worship with their congregations, just as we are desperate to gather together this summer -- as we have for the last two decades -- in Word, worship and fun. In short, we believe that we simply owe it to you and your youth to give you the wonderful Higher Things conference experience you have come to expect.
In a pandemic-free, normal world, it takes HT conference staff about two years to plan a conference season. Our crack staff has begun to pull together a virtual conference for you in the last two weeks. I wish I could announce all the details to you now, but we aren’t quite ready to reveal all just yet. I can, however, give you a sneak peek. The Watermarked VC (Virtual Conference) will take place August 6-7, 2020 and will be included for all current registrants -- regardless of any possible on-site future cancellations. In other other words, if the site that you are registered at cancels our conference, you get to attend the VC. If the site you are registered at doesn’t cancel, you get to attend the VC too! Blessings abound!
Here are a just a few sneak-peek details about our Watermarked VC:
- Live or downloaded conference attendance options
- Worship off-line (propers, sermons, and hymns provided digitally)
- 3-5 hours/day of plenary and breakaway teaching
- Scheduled live conversations with speakers
- Offline entertainment options
- Exhibitor “hall”
- Online access to all sessions following the live premiere
- $135 for new registrants starting June 1
- $100 for current registrants (this fee has already been collected, it’s your deposit)
Further details about the regular and virtual conferences will be provided on May 15 to all current Watermarked group leaders. New registrations for Watermarked VC will open on June 1.
