MCLEAN, VA – JUNE 12, 2009 – Cvent, the premier provider of online event management and survey software solutions is proud to announce that its founder and CEO, Reggie Aggarwal, was selected as one of the "Top Tech Titans" by the Washingtonian magazine. The Washingtonian noted that the Tech Titan awards honor the 100 leaders with a proven track record in technology and whose influence and vision drive our region's tech community. The Washingtonian specifically "...weeded out players who are simply loud as opposed to influential, so some names familiar in the media may not appear [on the list]." Other notable Tech Titans on the Washingtonian's list include: Steve Case, Co-Founder of AOL, Don Graham, CEO of the Washington Post Company, Aneesh Chopra, CTO of the Obama Administration and Vint Cerf, Chief Internet Evangelist at Google and "Founder" of the internet.

Ten years ago, Reggie Aggarwal left his job as a corporate lawyer to start Cvent, then a single product online event registration company. Now with over 475 employees worldwide, Cvent provides web-based software for meeting planners to source, plan, market and manage events and online meetings. Cvent also provides web survey solutions and lead generation tools to the hospitality industry.

Reggie Aggarwal was also recognized by the Washingtonian magazine for his contributions as founder of the Indian CEO High Tech Council, initially a community and forum for Indian entrepreneurs. The Indian CEO High Tech Council is now known as the Global Network of Entrepreneurs ("TiE-DC") and has evolved into a 4,000 person network of some of the most powerful people in technology. The creation of the council is not only a testament to the substantial tech culture in the DC area but is also indicative of Aggarwal's dedication to innovation and collaboration.
