There aren't many better places to relax in the peaceful, pretty foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. Jasper, named in honor of Sergeant William Jasper, a Red Stick War soldier, was settled in 1815 and was once the world's leading producer of coal. Our friendly town is the birthplace of George Lindsey, the actor who played Goober on the Andy Griffith Show. Our most recent claim to fame is as the fictional home of Sawyer, a leading character on the TV show Lost. We can't guarantee you'll see him around our Jasper hotel, but one can always hope!
Located one hour west of the Birmingham International Airport, the Hampton Inn® Jasper, AL hotel offers a quiet place to rest and relax. You'll also enjoy visiting a wide range of local attractions, from Old York Square to Smith Lake to the William Cook Home, just moments from our hotel in Jasper.
