Cancellation Policy

ATTRITION All terms and conditions are based on the premise that ninety (90%) percent of the confirmed room block and all Food & Beverage functions outlined in the meeting agenda will materialise. If this does not occur, the Sheraton Imperial Kuala Lumpur Hotel reserves the right to renegotiate the terms & conditions offered. CANCELLATION / REDUCTION IN NUMBER OF FUNCTION SPACE BOOKED Function Space For cancellation in excess of 5% of the original function space or Food & Beverage requirements, the following charges apply:  Within 30 days, 50% of the total charges for space rental and food & beverage requirements.  Within 15 days, 75% of the total charges for space rental and food & beverage requirements.  Within 72 hours prior to each event, the total of all charges for space rental, Food & Beverage requirements and technical equipment rental. TOTAL CANCELLATION The Group acknowledges that when the Hotel reserved the accommodation rooms and meeting space on behalf of the Group, the Hotel does so at the exclusion of other business. The Group also understands that the Group’s cancellation of this agreement will cause the Hotel to lose guest room revenue and other revenues associated with the sale of food, beverage and other Hotel service. The parties agree that the exact revenue lost cannot be determined at this time, thus the following cancellation charges are good faith estimates of losses the Hotel will suffer as a result of cancellation by the Group. In the event of cancellation covered by this section only, the charges set forth below will be due and payable as liquidated damages to the Hotel within thirty (30) days of the Hotel’s invoice. Function Space In the event of the entire group canceling, the following cancellation fee will apply:  More than 30 days but less than 60 days prior to arrival date: 75% of the total anticipated venue hire, food and beverage revenue  More than 15 days but less than 30 days prior to arrival date: 90% of the total anticipated venue hire, food and beverage revenue  Less than 15 days prior to arrival date: 100% of all anticipated revenue
