Snohomish County is located only 20 miles north of Seattle (rates 60.% less than Seattle!) and has a wide range and venues for your meetings and events. Meeting Planning - Convention Services:
Beginning with your inquiry, the Snohomish County Tourism Bureau will contact the county hotels and notify them your conference or event planning requirements. The hotel representative will then contact you directly with specific information on availability, pricing and services available.
CONVENTION SITE TOURS
We will be pleased to help you make arrangements for your convention chairman or meeting planner to visit the properties you are interested in for your conference site. We can help you in planning companion programs, suggest off-site tours or recreational activities outside the hotel, suggest entertainment options, and direct you to a variety of sources for speakers, decorators, off-site receptions or banquets, special event planners, and more.
PROMOTIONAL AIDS AND ASSISTANCE
We are happy to provide you with a variety of brochures on Snohomish County attractions and recreational activities, maps, and trade show bags for use at your convention. Please let us know if we can attend a convention preceding the one planned for Snohomish County where we can set up our trade show booth and distribute brochures to help generate enthusiasm for the upcoming event.
We will provide you with a media list for local publicity opportunities. We encourage you to provide them with a promotional flyer or media kit at least one month in advance of your event.
If you have exhibit needs, trade show booth requirements, or special electrical hook-ups or registration needs, let us recommend local professional decorators and exhibition companies. A professional event planner can help you with set up, take down, supply registration assistance, act as a liaison and service exhibitors, provide lighting, and coordinate freight from your exhibitors allowing you to focus on the conference program.
For the opening of your meeting, we can provide a speaker to give a general orientation the Snohomish County area, noting our special activities and attractions. You may wish to include a complimentary "Snohomish County Visitors Guide" in each delegate's convention packet. A sample of more detailed brochures may also be made available at a resource table in your headquarters hotel.
Volunteer personnel are available to assist you in registering participants, distributing literature and answering questions about the area that your attendees may have while staying in Snohomish County.
LIAISON WITH CIVIC OFFICIALS
For groups with special needs, we will help you contact the appropriate local officials, including Chambers of Commerce, Cities within Snohomish County, Snohomish County, and Port of Everett officials.
