Palma's Old Town

Historical landmark
5 minutes away
The old quarter of Palma, with a medieval layout of narrow, winding streets, is the most interesting part of the city for visitors and is where most of Palma's monuments are concentrated. It is separated from the Eixampla area by the avenidas, wide streets that occupy the space where the city walls used to be, which were built in the Renaissance period and demolished at the beginning of the 20th century. Some remains of these walls can be seen in the part of the old quarter closest to the sea, in the Baluard del Príncep, in front of the cathedral of La Seu and the Baluard de Sant Pere, and there is also a small fragment on view in the underground car park of Via Roma. It is in this part of the city where the Mallorcan nobility lived, residing in houses that are genuine palaces and which, together with the churches and convents, stand out within the layout of the city.

Located just 10 km from the centre of Palma and 16 km from the airport, the marina has 650 moorings of between 8 and 60 metres in length and an exclusive commercial area with a wide variety of quality complementary services: restaurants, bars, fashion boutiques, nautical companies, jewellers, perfumeries and real estate agencies, among other services. A port full of life 365 days a year thanks to its variety of nautical events, such as the Dragon Winter Race or Sailing Week, which forms part of the international TP52 SUPER SERIES circuit; the Classic Island Mallorca Rally, an international benchmark in motor racing, or the famous Christmas Market, a Christmas market where you can feel immersed in the Central European atmosphere. Visit to Alfabia Gardens

Historical landmark
30 minutes away
Visiting the Alfabia Gardens in Mallorca is one of the best cultural activities you can do in the Balearic Islands. It is a marvellous garden and a house that contains valuable historical elements. The gardens, wisely integrated into their natural surroundings, the variety of styles has not resulted in an amalgam but in a harmony that is difficult to achieve. In front of the main façade the palm trees stand solemn and majestic, indifferent to the passage of time. In the house, the passage of time has left traces of each period, without the ensemble losing its balance. The evolution of the Alfabia house is a model of respect for the past and evolution, of conservation and innovation.
