Sonoma boasts both unique and outdoor meeting spaces in the scenic and natural beauty that make wine country the optimal destination for small meetings, board of director retreats, family reunions, and weddings. Sites range from intimate to spacious, rustic to luxurious, with many wineries and hotels offering banquet facilities. Local services include catering, transportation, party rentals, photography and other amenities that will complement the theme of your meeting/event.
The rich wine country soils of Sonoma Valley mark the birthplace of California's wine industry. As the closest wine region to San Francisco, Sonoma Valley is just 45 minutes north of the Golden Gate Bridge. Cradled between the Maya camas and the Sonoma Mountain ranges, Sonoma Valley encompasses a rolling patchwork of vineyards, quaint farms and 13,000 acres of scenic parkland.
In the center of town of Sonoma, the eight-acre Sonoma Plaza is a National Historic Landmark, strewn with sprawling shade trees and bordered by carefully preserved adobe buildings. Up the road in Glen Ellen, author and bohemian adventurer Jack London lived and wrote at his pristine Beauty Ranch, now an 800-acre state historic park.
