Why Choose Our Destination?

Valladolid, the capital of the Spanish Autonomous Community of Castilla y Leon, is geographically located in the middle of the northern plateau. At a distance of 192 km from Madrid, it stretches over a surface area of 8202 km2. It is an important industrial and business centre with an estimated population of half a million inhabitants, the majority of whom live in the urban area. Valladolid is connected to the rest of Spain by means of good communication networks. Its airport (Villanubla) offers daily flights to Barcelona, Vigo, Paris, London, Brussels and Lisbon. The city, which is home to extraordinary monumental wealth, is one of the most significant of Spain’s capitals from a historical perspective. It has one of the oldest universities in the country and currently continues to expand thus giving Valladolid a very unique university atmosphere. Valladolid boasts an excellent national and international communication network: by air, thanks to Valladolid’s airport in Villanubla, and by land, by virtue of the network of roads and motorways to and from the city which suffer very high traffic levels. Another important link is the railway which transports both passengers and goods. Moreover, the launch of the high speed train will have positive consequences on railway services. With regard to maritime transport, it is a dry port and gives remote service.
