About us
The Golden Rule is located in Ambleside, England. The Golden Rule, tucked away off the main road in Ambleside, is a traditional and unchanging multi-roomed pub in the heart of The Lake District with a reputation that spreads around the world. Two of our rooms can be booked for small meetings; the 'back room' is suitable for about a dozen people, whilst the 'bottom room' can take around twenty. The rooms are well used by many organizations and societies.

We are open from 11am until midnight seven days a week throughout the year, except Christmas Day when we open only for a couple of hours at lunchtime, and New Years Eve when we are open until 1am.
