Why Choose Our Destination?

Home to the fourth-largest convention center in the U.S., Atlanta is known as a premiere meeting, tradeshow and convention destination, but this hub of the Southeast has much more than meeting space for convention attendees, and even more is on the way. More than $2.5 billion in development is opening in Atlanta over the next five years. Our walkable convention corridor includes event space and a flexible hotel portfolio to host meetings of any size. The Georgia World Congress Center (GWCC) offers more than more than 1.4 million square feet of meeting and exhibit space. The city’s facilities don’t end there. Also downtown, Atlanta Convention Center at AmericasMart and 200 Peachtree accommodate everything from small board meetings to large-scale events. Top attractions like World of Coca-Cola, Georgia Aquarium and Inside CNN Studio Tour double as unique event facilities, making meeting in Atlanta all about options. Two new options for flexible event space come online in 2014. The Center for Civil and Human Rights opened in June, while the College Football Hall of Fame opens adjacent to the park in late August. More than 10,000 hotels rooms housed in 24 hotels within the convention corridor make it easy for attendees to walk from their hotel right into the meeting. Seventy percent of these rooms are in six hotels – Atlanta Marriott Marquis, Hilton Atlanta, Hyatt Regency Atlanta, Omni Hotel at CNN Center, Sheraton Atlanta, and The Westin Peachtree Plaza. The metro-Atlanta area boasts more than 90,000 rooms, assuring a visitor can find the perfect accommodation at just the right price point.
