A charming, thatched, Grade II listed, Elizabethan coaching inn, The Duke of Cumberland’s Head provides fine food, local ales and comfortable accommodation in the heart of the Oxfordshire countryside. Set within an intimate and welcoming environment of low ceilings, exposed oak beams and period features. The Duke of Cumberland’s Head is the perfect place to enjoy a convivial drink, or to settle down to dine from our menu featuring some of the best of contemporary British cuisine. We have a number of delightful, unique bedrooms available, an extensive, secluded garden with terrace, and facilities for private dining. Whether coming for a relaxing short break of quirky but affordable style, a quick pint and bar snack by the roaring fire in the winter, a family BBQ in the summer - or a celebratory meal in the restaurant, the only rule at The Duke of Cumberland’s Head is to relax, sit back and have a good time.
