The Royal Cambridge Hotel is one of the oldest hotels in Cambridge, and was originally a row of Georgian terraced houses. Located on the edge of the city centre, within easy walking distance of the famous colleges such as King’s, Queen’s, Corpus Christi and Magdalene, the hotel provides an excellent base to explore this celebrated city whilst enjoying comfortable accommodation and facilities. The Royal Cambridge Hotel has 57 en-suite bedrooms including standard and premier rooms and two exclusive self-contained, serviced apartments which are all tastefully decorated and furnished, in keeping with the heritage and style of the hotel. All rooms have colour television, radio, direct dial telephone, hairdryer, together with tea and coffee making facilities. The apartments are fully equipped with lounge, dining and kitchen areas, as well as a secluded private patio. The ‘High Table’ Restaurant has menus reflecting seasonal fresh produce from surrounding market gardens as well as exotic ingredients from around the world. Friendly and personal service complements not only the food, but the extensive and imaginative wine list. Alternatively the welcoming King’s Bar serves a mouth-watering selection of light meals and snacks. The extensive and comfortable lounge areas are the ideal place to relax and unwind or meet up with colleagues. The Hotel is ideally located for all types of meetings, business events and social gatherings. With a choice of five meeting rooms for between 2 and 150 delegates, the hotel is an excellent venue for a variety of events. The Hobson Suite is the largest of the five rooms and can accommodate a range of layouts, making it an excellent choice for conferences, small exhibitions and training courses. The four smaller rooms are ideal for team building sessions, syndicate work and private dining. It also has the added benefit of its own large car park, available for the use of hotel guests and conference delegates (daily charges apply).
